Where the River Bends was written for the kinds of conversations people have after the coffee’s poured and nobody’s in a hurry to leave.
It’s about family, addiction, loyalty, shame, forgiveness, the things we inherit, and the things families sometimes decide not to say out loud.
If your book club chooses Where the River Bends, I’d be honored to be part of the conversation.

I’m available for select in-person and virtual book club visits.
We can talk about Caleb, Danny, Ruth, Blue, the Tennessee setting, alcoholism and family, what came from real life, what didn’t, or whatever your group wants to throw at me.
I can’t promise I’ll answer every question the way you expect. That’s half the fun!

Kitchen table. Living room. Library. Back porch. Somebody’s basement with wine and a cheese tray that got completely out of hand.
I don’t care. I’d love to see where the book landed.
With your permission, we might even share your group with the Black Dog River Press crowd.
